How to employ the solid
slug (projectile):
The slug is affixed to a regular NEUTREX cartridge
and together they are inserted into the barrel.
The Venturi is replaced by the thread protector
in the event that the unit falls over under recoil.
No liquid should be placed in the barrel
when slug is employed. Normal aiming procedure
is followed.
NOTE: as the steel slug is a solid projectile,
it should be handled like a bullet that is fired
from a gun. Ricocheting is inevitable if the slug
cannot penetrate the target.
For 20mm disrupter: steel slug is a projectile
that will not disintegrate on impact and will
therefore act as if it were a bullet fired from
a gun. Extreme caution should therefore be employed
as the slug will ricochet upon impact if it cannot
penetrate. The spent slug will be deformed as
a result of the impact and cannot be reused.
WARNING: If target is missed, slug must
be considered as a threat similar to that of a
solid projectile and a standoff distance of 1
mile (1.5 km) should be allowed.
NOTE; tempered (heat treated) slug can be supplied
on request in addition to slugs that are pointed,
chisel shaped, etc., at a slightly additional
cost to the regular ones.
