The 12.5mm Recoilless Disrupter
has been designed to disrupt cigarette package sized
devices and packages up to 4" x 6" x 8"(10mm x 15mm
x 24mm) and approximately 1/2lb.(226.8 grams) total
weight.
When an x-ray is employed with the 12.5mm, larger
packages may be disrupted successfully.
The 12.5mm Recoilless Disrupter fires ammunition of
6 grain with the capability of being able to fire
up to 18 grain ammunition (full capability determined
after test program is completed).
The unit is of a hollow construction to reduce blast
barriers.
The barrel is cylindrically bored and will permit
Avon-type frangible rounds to be fired.
