Video Annotation Systems
Outland builds 4 different types of video annotation systems.
These devices can display data on a standard CCTV monitor.
If a Video camera is used, that data can be overlayed on
the live video picture. The following is more detail on
each of the systems.
Model 1500, Video Panel Meter (VPM).
The Video Panel Meter has 8 analog inputs that are fully
programmable as to scale and position on screen. The unit
can also be programmed with a high/low alarm setting. Programming
is accomplished with the provided IBM style Keyboard, or
the RS-232 port using a dumb terminal or PC. Some features
of the VPM are:
- REPLACES 8 PANEL METERS.
- 8 ANALOG INPUTS.
- INCLUDES TIME/DATE.
- HIGH/LOW ALARM SETTINGS.
- LOGGING FUNCTIONS.
- ALL FUNCTIONS USER PROGRAMMABLE.
- MENU DRIVEN, NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED.
- DISPLAYED ON A STANDARD CCTV MONITOR.
- 15 LINES x 60 COLUMNS OF CHARACTERS.
Model 1550, Video-Log.
The Video-Log 1550 was primarily built for ROV applications
and sewer camera operations. Features include:
- TIME/DATE.
- 10 PAGES OF MEMORY.
- GRAPHICS FOR COMPASS TAPE OR ROSE.
- DEPTH OR CP BAR GRAPH.
- ENCODER INPUT FOR CABLE COUNTING.
The series 5000 video overlay units require a camera to show
data on a video screen. The systems do not have internal sync.
Model 5000A, RS-232/Video Overlay unit (RVO)
This unit overlays only serial data on a Video picture.
Data from a PC,PLC or GPS (NEMA-0183) can be used as an
input source. Other inputs could be Cash Registers, Dumb
terminals, etc.
